Chikungunya spreads through daytime mosquito bites. It’s not contagious between people, so you need to focus on mosquito protection rather than just standard evening precautions.

IXCHIQ requires a 4-week wait before blood donation. If donating sooner, inform your pharmacist; Vimkunya may be an alternative, or IXCHIQ can be timed around your donation.
Yes, but only with Vimkunya. IXCHIQ is not licensed for those aged 60+ due to higher adverse event risks. Vimkunya is our clinic’s appropriate alternative for this age group.
