Tanzania mandates proof of Yellow Fever vaccination for those arriving from endemic countries. It is also recommended for other travellers visiting risk areas. As a certified centre, we issue the required ICVP certificate on the same day; this must be obtained at least 10 days before you arrive.

Are antimalarials necessary for Zanzibar?

Yes. Zanzibar carries the same year-round malaria risk as mainland Tanzania, making antimalarials essential for all visitors.

Do I need altitude medication for Kilimanjaro?

Acetazolamide (Diamox) is strongly recommended for treks under 7 days. It is available at our clinic for adults 18+ following a consultation and a required home trial dose.

What are the costs for Tanzania travel vaccines?

Hepatitis A and Typhoid start at £50 per dose, Yellow Fever (including certificate) is £75, and Rabies is £85 per dose. Consultation fees are waived if vaccines are administered during your visit.

Is swimming in Tanzanian lakes safe?

No. Freshwater sources like Lake Victoria carry schistosomiasis risks. Stick to chlorinated pools or the ocean around Zanzibar.
