EXCELLENT Based on 10 reviews Posted on Google Sunen PatelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a fantastic experience at Medway Travel Clinic while getting everything sorted for my trip to South America. The clinic is modern, clean, and well-run, which really helped put me at ease. Booking was simple, and there were plenty of appointment slots to choose from, even at short notice. I was especially impressed that they had all the necessary vaccines in stock, so I could get everything done in one visit. Mandeep was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain each vaccine and what to expect, which made the whole process smooth and reassuring. Cannot recommend Mandeep enough. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and put me at ease. There is one pharmacy here, some very odd opening hours and long lunch break, some parking spaces behind at £2:40 minimum for first hour, if no spaces "walk the gauntlet" through Chatham High Street to get there!!
Yes. NaTHNaC recommends it for the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Tsavo East/West. It is not routinely required for Nairobi, Mombasa, or the coast. Travellers aged 60+ should consult a pharmacist first, as it may not be recommended for low-exposure areas in this age group.
Nairobi has very low risk due to its altitude, but protection is often needed for subsequent safari destinations. Your clinician will advise based on your full itinerary.
For faster ascent routes on Mount Kenya, altitude sickness medication is worth discussing at your consultation. Acetazolamide (Diamox) is available for eligible adults aged 18 and over. A trial dose must be taken at home before departure.
Core vaccines start from £50 per dose. Yellow Fever is £75 including the ICVP certificate. Rabies is £85 per dose. No separate consultation fee applies when vaccines are given on the day.
Yes. Dengue is spread by Aedes mosquitoes active during the day and is present in coastal resort settings. Consistent daytime DEET or picaridin repellent is important throughout your Kenya trip regardless of accommodation standard.
